WELLNESS

At CCAS, we believe that a strong community is one where every individual feels supported and empowered. Central to our wellness approach is a commitment to collaboration between guidance counselors, students, families, teachers, and staff. Our counselors engage directly with parents, guardians, and other key stakeholders to understand each student’s background, strengths, and areas for improvement. By maintaining clear, consistent communication, we build a support system that allows us to provide tailored guidance addressing the needs of each student.

Beyond the counseling office, we offer workshops and resources on critical topics such as positive practices. These initiatives enable all members of our community to actively contribute to an environment of well-being that impacts everyone. By involving the entire community, we create a comprehensive and sustainable model for wellness, making well-being a collective responsibility.

Wellness is not simply a program or initiative; it is an operational principle embedded in every aspect of daily life. This integrated approach fosters an environment where personal development and academic performance are prioritized in equal measure. Our dedication to wellness strengthens connections across the community and reinforces the shared efforts that drive our overall success and well-being.

Student Counseling Objectives

  • Support students in successfully adjusting to CCAS life through comprehensive counseling programs.
  • Promote a safe and positive CCAS environment by reducing maladaptive behaviors through preventive measures and early intervention, enhancing students' ability to adapt to school.
  • Assist teachers in providing guidance and support to students in both academic and behavioral areas.
  • Empower parents with resources and guidance to foster positive parenting, supporting the development of healthy parent-child relationships.
  • Encourage collaboration between counselors, parents, and teachers to gain a deeper understanding of each student, facilitating consistent guidance and education both at CCAS and at home.

Student Education Sessions

We hold weekly focused sessions that support students in understanding mental health, emotional regulation, and personal well-being. These sessions help students navigate challenges, build resilience, and develop skills that will benefit them throughout their lives. The sessions are categorized into four big topics:

In today’s rapidly changing world, while students grow quickly, they also face increasing emotional challenges. At CCAS, we recognize the importance of addressing these needs, we have created the Mamttuni program, a student-led initiative designed to foster a positive and healthy CCAS culture.

"Mamttuni," a shortened form of "Maum Tuntuni," meaning "Strong Mind," brings together students who are committed to developing into independent and emotionally resilient young people. As participants join voluntarily, they demonstrate a proactive and engaged attitude. These students take ownership of their experiences, planning events, collaborating with other departments, and actively contributing to a supportive CCAS atmosphere. By doing so, they help build a community where emotional strength and positive growth are encouraged and celebrated.
